This paper shaped plate "Cherry blossoms in Higashiyama" was created by Sokuzen Eiraku(1917-1998) as a tribute to the paper shapued plate "Cherry blossoms in yoshinoyama" by Ninsei Nonomura, a celebrated potter in the Edo era.
